Pump Room Plugs & Connections
The pump room is the heart of the pool. When closing a pool, there are many plugs and chemical lines that need to be removed in case of freezing. All of these need to be replaced before going any further.
Locate the plugs inside of the pump filter basket
Follow the pumps going down all of the plumbing lines and replace all of the PVC or metal plugs in their respective holes. Some of these holes are different sizes, so don't force anything and test each out to make sure they fit.
Repeat this for the wader pool
Be sure to plug both of the filters. The main filter has a cast iron screw on plug at the bottom and the wader pool filter has a plastic plug that screws on at the bottom
Screw on the pressure regulator to the wader pool filter
Connect the union for the water line located by the wader pool filter. It screws together and can be located to the left of the wader pool filter
Make sure the main drain and skimmer valves are in the closed position when filling the pool. These can be opened once the pool is almost full but don't turn on the pump unless the water line is above the skimmer line.
